Have you believed that God is responsible for the deserts in your life? If so, you might be surprised to learn that desert is translated in Hebrew as “teacher.” And although God doesn’t always CAUSE the deserts in our lives, He sometimes ALLOWS them.
.
One of the blessings of a desert experience is that it can teach us to rely on Him – for everything!
.
In the midst of the Exodus journey, God provided everything the Israelites needed; He provided safety from their enemies (by parting the Red Sea), food (which fell from the sky) and water (which flowed out of a rock).
.
Yet despite knowing about such incredible provision, we sometimes wonder if He can provide what WE need – especially when we find ourselves in the desert. The answer is a resounding, YES!
.
The truth is only God has unlimited resources from which to meet all our needs.
.
Whether you need food, money, or other resources, none of your needs is a problem for God; He never wonders IF or HOW He’ll be able to meet them.
.
Therefore, if you’re currently in the midst of a desert experience, remember that God can provide relief from the “scorching sun.” Turn to God, talk to Him, study His Word and then enjoy the “shade” that only He can provide – with or without a cloud in the sky.
