Pictured here, are some of the flowers in our backyard. I love their vibrant colors and often pause to appreciate their beauty. They’ve grown significantly since my husband planted them, and are now in full bloom.
Once July comes around, I start thinking about how to keep them looking good – especially since the remainder of summer includes even hotter weather. In order for them not to die, they’ll need more sunshine, plenty of water and a little fertilizer too.
So what about you? In order to survive this summer, what do you need; what will it take for you to grow and thrive? How might you improve your health or enhance your beauty?
What do you need to do today, to experience the results you want by the end of summer?
Maybe you need to drink more water, eat correctly for your body or get a new haircut and color. Or, maybe you need to do things that are more often overlooked – like reduce your commitments, increase your positive self-talk or let go of guilt and shame. Whatever you need, you’re worth the time, energy and money that it takes to be your best.
Timing
If you wanted a shady backyard in which to relax, you would need some trees. The best time to plant shade trees, would have been ten years ago. The second best time, would be today.
The same is true when it comes to planting what you want to reap later this summer. Make a list of 3 things you’ll do yet this summer, for growth or to enhance your beauty. Then get started today!
