Are You Wasting the Resurrection?

Blog-1March16

The Bible makes it clear that Jesus died and was buried, and that on the third day, He rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:4 NIV). That is good news for Believers, for it represents an incredible victory in which we can participate.

Jesus’ own words were, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies” (John 11:25). No longer slaves to physical death and eternal separation from God, we can now look forward to spending eternity with Him in Heaven.

However, the ramifications of His Resurrection are not limited to life in Heaven. Instead, God offers us a new life, a victorious life here on earth. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV).

The question, then, is what are you doing with that new life?

The WOW! Wholehearted Living program helps women to discover (and celebrate) the woman God created them to be. Part of that process involves decluttering; getting rid of the stuff that weighs us down and prevents us from experiencing that new life.

In Galatians 2:20, Paul says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me…”

It is our self-life (and the accompanying erroneous beliefs) that must be dealt with. In the process, as we surrender to Christ, we discover a new identity and destiny. No longer believing the lie that we’re not “good enough,” “smart enough,” “pretty enough,” or “anything else enough,” we live with the truth. We are imperfect but amazing women, created exactly as God desired. We are His beloved daughters in whom He delights.

The question, then, is “Are you wasting the Resurrection, or are you embracing every bit of your new life?”
