The Cause for the Pause

The past year has been challenging.  In the midst of dealing with cancer, several projects that had been burning brightly had become smoldering embers.  The reality made no sense at all – at least from my perspective.

However, I’ve learned that God has a different perspective. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

So I sought His Word for wisdom.  He led me to Psalm 27:14 (NLT) which says that we’re to be brave and courageous, and to wait.  In addition, we’re told to be still and wait patiently for Him to act. (Psalm 37:7)

Therefore, I waited (fighting off my natural tendency to push things forward); I prayed, and also reflected on previous pauses that were orchestrated by God.  In doing so, I realized something significant.  Pauses can be a strategic delay, by a loving God.

Sometimes, God knows there’s a storm where we’re headed.  In that case, a pause can be a blessing because it keeps us from harm.  Other times, a pause can equip us to weather future storms.

After waiting for many months, provision began to be revealed.  Incredible, smart and talented women stepped forward with resources that were a perfect match for what was needed; time, energy, wisdom, talents and more.

Pictured here, are just five of the team members that God put together.  With Him guiding every step, we’re confident of the mission He’s given to us; taking the Wholehearted Living program to millions of women (around the world), all for His glory.

Although there’s more that’s yet to be seen, it’s obvious that we’ve been called for this. (Esther 4:14)

So if you’re currently in a “pause,” remember that there’s likely a very good reason for it – and in the interim, consider looking for new insights God might be providing for you.  Also, trust that HIS provision will be exactly what’s needed.
